UNITED STATES NAVY BLUE ANGELS - Performing for the first time in Waco in over 30 years! And their only appearance in Central and North Texas in 2018!
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will present precision aerial maneuvers flying the high performance F-18 Legacy Hornet and the high degree of professional skill required to operate these aircraft. The Blue Angels squadron is composed of eight pilots with six demonstration pilots, four support officers and over 100 enlisted Sailors and Marines performing in almost 30 job specialties.  The Blue Angels mix edge of your seat formation flying and solo performance and perform approximately 40 maneuvers during their performance along with a demonstration by the Blue Angels C-130 affectionately known as Fat Albert! The mission of the United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron is to showcase and represent the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps and inspire a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach. The Navy Blue Angels strive to inspire you to dream - and to pursue your dreams with everything you have!

  
AIR COMBAT COMMAND A-10 THUNDERBOLT II DEMONSTRATION FLIGHT TEAM - Demo Pilot Capt. Cody Wilton  Headquartered at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ ACC is proud to bring the A-10 flight demonstration back to air shows for the first time since 2011. The A-10 Flight Demonstration team single ship demonstration performs precision aerial maneuvers to demonstrate the unique capabilities by one of the Air Force's best closer air support of ground forces. It has excellent maneuverability at low air speeds and altitudes and has highly accurate weapons delivery platforms. The team works with the Air Force Heritage Flight exhibiting the professional qualities the Air Force develops in the people who fly, maintain and support these aircraft.


UNITED STATES SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND BLACK DAGGERS PARACHUTE DEMONSTRATION TEAM- The USASOC Black Daggers debut in their 1st Waco appearance. Hailing from Fort Bragg, NC USASOC is the Army component of the U.S. Special Operations Command.  The Black Daggers team is comprised of volunteers from throughout the Army special ops community. The have diverse backgrounds and possess various military specialties. The team represents the professionalism and dedication of Special Operations Forces. The Black Daggers will perform twice during the air show, once in their red and black uniforms and canopies and once in full combat gear to hit the ground as they would in action.

   
UNITED STATES NAVY LEAP FROGS PARACHUTE TEAM - The Navy Leap Frogs also debut in their 1st Waco appearance. The Leap Frogs coming from San Diego, CA demonstrate the professionalism of the Navy with performances of precision aerial maneuvers across the country.

   
TROJAN PHLYERS DEMONSTRATION TEAM - Demo Lead Chip Lamb, Wingman Robert Johnson    Demo Video: Click Here    The Trojan Phlyers are a two ship team piloted by a highly decorated combat veteran and a civilian pilot performing exciting precision aerobatics demonstrating the cutting edge performance of the Trojan T28 warbird and the flying expertise acquired in formal military training. The fully aerobatic aircraft can take off in less than 800 feet of runway, climb to 10,000 feet in less than 90 seconds, race level above 335 mph and dive faster than 380 mph. The T28 can outperform most World War II fighters at low altitude. Watch their smoke! Chip Lamb is a retired USAFR Colonel and graduate of the US Air Force Academy who in his career has flown F-4's in the Air Force overseas followed by 15 years in the Texas Air National Guard flying F-16's.

He is well known in the aerobatic community for his ability to tumble a plane in unparalleled style accomplishing gyroscopic maneuvers never duplicated by others. David is one of the most versatile airshow performers on the circuit today flying full blow performances in multiple types of aircraft. For the HOTAirshow he will fly his CAP 232 and the gorgeous P-51 Mustang Happy Jack's Go Buggy. Bob Markert Bob Markert flies an Oshkosh award winning RV-8 that he and his wife built over a 10 year period. While he comes to us from Colorado, he is happy to fly for family who live in Waco. His aerobatic routine demonstrated the aerobatic capabilities of this popular homebuilt aircraft. Bob also flies on the Rocky Mountain Renegade Airshow Team (we call them the mini Blue Angels...)  Bob has served as both an Army and Air Force pilot with 34 years in military cockpits.

 

F4U Corsair Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison Texas brings us the most famous gullwing aircraft of all time.  The Corsair is one of the most distinctive fighters in the world! The first flew in May 1940 and it was the first single engine fighter to reach speeds of 400mph at level flight.  Check our See & Do page for your opportunity to fly in this historic aircraft during the weekend!

 

Devil Dog B-25 Bomber  The Devil Dog B-25 was a Marine Corps WWII medium bomber. Operated by the Devil Dog Squadron in Georgetown, you can also fly in this historic aircraft over the weekend!
